Yard sale to benefit Chicago students and veterans

CHICACOThe Women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Phi Kappa Omega Chapter will sponsor its Second annual Treasure Chest Yard Sale on Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jimmi Skouls Denim Boutique, 8126 South Stony Island, in Chicago.

The Treasure Chest Yard Sale is a shopping exploration that will feature men, women and children's gently used clothing. Jewelry, household items, toys and books will also be available. All bargains will have a starting cost as low as 25 cents. Shoppers will also be able to make purchases from Jimmi Skouls using a special Phi Kappa Omega (PKO) discount code.

The Treasure Chest Yard Sale is a fundraiser that benefits the Phi Kappa Omega Chapter Scholarship Fund, which awards book and technology scholarships to students attending college. Military veterans will also benefit from the yard sale. Any unsold items will be donated to the Vietnam Veterans of America and Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation organizations.
