The Illuminated Object Communicator, model 1262, is a direct selection or scanning communicator designed for use by individuals with low vision and communication disabilities. This device offers 12 levels with 300 seconds of recording time with four selection fields. The user activates a connected capability switch (not included) to start the action. Once objects (not included) are placed within the selected fields illumination is provided for greater visibility. Features include a recordable level announcer, four scanning modes, (inverse, automatic, two- switch, and step), on/off auditory cueing, adjustable scanning speed from 1 to 12 seconds), volume control, and and a carrying handle. POWER: Uses 4 double-A and 2 D batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 6.5 x 23.5 x 8.5 inches.
