The Gemini Braille Printer, also called the Gemini Print and Braille Embosser, is a braille printer designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This braille printer can print braille and ink print simultaneously on the same page. Ink characters can be printed in a standard size or two or four times larger, and the user can also adjust the shading. Ink characters can be positioned either above or below the braille. Ink characters that can be printed include the major European alphabets, the Korean Hangul alphabet, and Chinese and Japanese characters. Braille can be printed in six-dot and eight-dot cells. Braille graphics can also be embossed on this printer. The noise level has been reduced by using a printing method that pushes the braille embossing pins into the paper instead of striking the paper. This method also allows an entire line of braille to be printed at the same time. Printing speeds are 32 characters per second (cps) for braille and 90 cps for print. The printer uses continuous tractor feed paper in two sizes and can also be used to emboss stickers and labels. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 12.6 x 15.7 x 16.8 inches. The dot spacing is 0.09 inches and the cell spacing is 0.15 inches. The pribter accepts paper 9.5 x 11 inches and 10 x 14 inches. WEIGHT: 24.5 kilograms.
