The Excelerator XLT Handcycle is a hand propelled cycle for adults with mobility disabilities. Capable of reaching speeds up to 20 miles per hour, this three-wheeled, hand-crank cycle features stable maneuverability for those who enjoy competitive cycling. With a Shimano 7-speed hub and reverse drum braking, this cycle can reach up to 24 different speeds. A fully adjustable chain tension idler lets the rider adjust the crank height without having to add or remove chain links. FRAME: Made of oval tube aluminum and chrome-moly steel with a powder-coat finish, the frame of this cycle is geometrically designed for maximum stiffness and improved cornering. The frame s available in a variety of colors. SEAT: Adjustable seat and back heights. WHEELS: Available with 26-inch performance wheels with high pressure tires, 24-inch cruiser wheels with cruiser tires, or 24-inch off- road wheels with knobby tires. Quick-release axles are standard and 0.5-inch threaded axles are optional. Optional thorn resistant tire protectors are also available. FOOTRESTS: Dual adjustable footrests with foot straps are standard. Leg guards are available. OPTIONS: Helmet, horizontal handles, quad cuffs and gloves, chest security strap, parking brake, and others.
